We know very little about model and rising Instagram star Selamawit Shiferaw, and frankly, you all aren’t here for that anyway. The glamorous ATLien and native of Ethiopia is our latest Baes and Baddies entry.

What we are able to determine is that she came to the social media network around 2015, and is a member of the TNZ modeling agency. And while there are traps and sultry poses galore, it’s clear Selam is taking her work in front of the camera seriously and we are hella thankful.

Nicki Minaj is back on social media doing part of what she likes to do, which is share with fans and onlookers behind the scenes looks at her creative process. During one such Instagram post, a woman made it her mission to come for the Queens superstar and caught a verbal lashing in the end.

Teasing footage from behind the scenes for the “Barbie Tingz” video shoot, Minaj posted a video of her getting makeup applied behind the scenes. The woman who commented wrote in the post, “Isn’t your body fake??? You paid to look like you.”

Minaj fired back with, “U can’t even show ur whole face. Must suck to be so jealous, miserable, insecure & ugly.”

Yikes.

Not to objectify our sisters who hail from the continent of Africa, but the motherland is home to women who have gravity-defying curves, especially in East Africa. Tanzania’s Sanchoka, also known as Sanchi, sports one of the largest backsides we’ve ever featured on Baes and Baddies and it apparently runs in the family.

Sanchi has become something of a celebrity by way of showing off her thunderous booty cheeks on the ‘Gram, and even put her mom’s backside on her page to let folks know the apple, no pun intended, didn’t fall far from the tree. Aside from stunting in revealing gear, Sanchi also works as a brand ambassador and holds a business degree. She is the CEO of Golden Eye Traders and works in a variety of capacities in the world of trade, so it’s not just big booty but big brains too.

Hailing from sunny Los Angeles is Gabby Gavino, and she’s got the Internet going a little crazy after posting a weekend video of her cheeks in action.

Truth be told, there’s not a lot of information out there on Gabby Gavino but what we’ve found is that she’s been doing this at least the last two years and has caught the eye of certain blogs and sites around the Internet for her astounding backside and sultry good looks.

If you are in the business of trolling people in their comments, you might want to chill. Instagram announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding its anti-bullying initiative by adding a new filter to weed out comments that are directly intended to bully or harass their users posted by trolls.

Better think twice before you flood someone’s comment sections with slander or emojis because it can either result in Instagram taking action—possibly leading to your account being tossed.

The Facebook-owned company revealed it will start reviewing particular accounts that have a substantial amount of comments filtered out. If they determine, those accounts violate its community guidelines Instagram will take action and possibly lead to banishment. Comments that attack a person’s looks or character will be hidden by Instagram and put you on Instagram’s radar as a repeat offender.

This will be the second the step in the popular social media site’s initiative started last year to combat negative or outright offensive comments. Instagram is very serious about getting rid of users who do nothing but harass other users.

In a recent blog post, Instagram’s chief executive and co-founder spoke on bullying and expanded policies to protect young public figures:

“To be clear: We don’t tolerate bullying on Instagram. I’m proud to announce this next step in our ongoing commitment to keeping Instagram inclusive, supportive place for all voices.”

“Protecting our youngest community members is crucial to helping them feel comfortable to express who they are and what they care about.”

Looks like times up for you trolls.

Women have a new social media hero. A Temple University junior recently flourished when she sent a direct message to her actor crush.

Sylvia Wilson did what thousands have tried but very few have accomplished. She slid into Michael B. Jordan’s DMs. The 21-year old had heard the thespian was filming on the campus and she shot her shot.

She contacted the Creed star on Instagram and offered to buy him a smoothie. “It was hot, and I didn’t think it’d be appropriate to ask to buy him a drink, so I opted for a smoothie” she explained to BuzzFeed.

After some casual conversation he invited her on set to meet in person. While security initially fronted on her, the actor walked over to get her in.

The two flicked it up leaving Wilson ecstatic. “He was so sweet and nice. He was more than happy to take pictures with me and my friends that came with me!”

Since posting her win on Twitter Sylvia has become an online sensation with a #PullASylvia hashtag started in her name for all other hopeful DM sliding efforts.

Brianna Francisco, better known to the Instagram masses as Brianna Amor, has been on the scene for a few years turning heads and breaking necks with her show-stopping backside and the heavy handfuls in front of her. The Atlanta-based brand ambassador is our latest Baes & Baddies entry.

There isn’t a ton of information out there about Brianna Amor, but what is publicly known is that she hails from Boston, Massachusetts originally and is of Jamaican and Honduran descent. Since starting her career fresh out of high school in 2006, the curvy Ms. Amor has appeared in videos with the likes of T.I., Akon, and even shared a cover of an XXL issue with 50 Cent according to what we’ve uncovered online.

Troll master supreme Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson isn’t letting up on his assault on all things Harlem, this time turning his “get the strap” movement onto A$AP Rocky. After the Queens rapper clowned a photo of Rocky wearing a Gucci bag for a fashion shoot, Fif kicked off a mild war of words with the A$AP Mob leader firing back.

Fif took the first shot on Monday (May 7) after posting an image of Rocky decked out in Gucci head to toe complete with a bag to finish off the look.

“l said get the strap, not get the bag smh HARLEM SH*T AGAIN. LOL,” Fif wrote in the photo caption.

After a bit, Rocky took aim at 50 Cent and Eminem’s fashion sense, but it looks to be mostly in good fun considering. Props to High Snobiety for the screen grab retort from A$AP Rocky.

Teairra Mari is currently the topic of discussion via social media today, this after her Instagram page was hacked and images of her performing sexual acts were leaked to the page. After taking down the offending images, the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star says she’s going to seek legal action in a written statement.

As we reported on earlier, the 30-year-old reality series star and singer’s IG page featured her performing oral sex on what has been reported to have been Abdul Akbar-Ahad, a former basketball player for Idaho State who was connected romantically to Mari.

In her statement, Mari didn’t name Akbar-Ahad nor did she specifically name what happened, but it is beyond clear that she was referencing the hack and corresponding images.

“Recently my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust. That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred,” Mari wrote.

At the end of her statement, Mari said she will be “in pursuit of justice.”

Instagram has been good for a number of celebrities, including Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who used the social media site to not only troll the masses but to also share his many endeavors. The Queens rapper and mogul announced that he’s leaving Instagram behind after a recent post of his was removed without him being notified.

Although it isn’t certain, some fans are speculating Fif is jumping the Instagram shift after he shared a post that was connected to the hack and leak of private images from Teairra Mari’s IG page. In his usual fashion, 50 plainly spoke his intentions with what felt like a bit of a knowing wink and said he’s taking his talents to Twitter.

“I’m leaving IG, I’m going back to Twitter. They take shit down off my page with out notifying me. #censorthesenuts,” the caption read.

And it appears that 50 or Instagram is making good on that promise as four posts appeared after FIf’s departure post that was completely blacked out. With Instagram being a vehicle of promotion to his nearly 18 million followers, is 50 Cent really going to throw all of those potential supporters off to the wayside?

Azealia Banks unloaded a barrage of criticism towards Cardi B in recent days, which has pitted fans of both artists against each other and sparking a narrative that the “Bodak Yellow” star was attacked. Banks took to Instagram to explain that, in her view, she’s simply speaking her mind.

Banks egged on the beef via her The Breakfast Club interview and threw a heavy shot at the Bronx rapper by calling her a caricature of Black women. Cardi went on the defensive and unleashed a scathing rebuke of Banks’ jab to which her Harlem rival responded to by calling her a “bird.”

The most recent salvo from the Banks side of things occurred on Tuesday, and while the “Anna Wintour” artist never mentions Cardi by name, it could be implied that she was responding to all the chatter around their brewing beef.

“Speaking one’s mind doesn’t equal activism,” Banks wrote. “When I speak on anything it is purely to open the discussion for people who may or may not be thinking the same things. The concept of me ‘attacking’ other women is a hard one to process because it’s subjective and purely an analysis of what YOU see.”

She added, “But I will say that brushing the core of the things I say off as pure negativity is not at all reflective of the REAL, insightful, and objective free-thinker I am.”

Banks concluded her larger point with, “When I ignite these discussions surrounding black cultural affairs, it’s to make sure that the things we are consuming and validating are acceptable and worthy of inclusion into our culture, psyche, and lifestyles.”

Cardi B has yet to respond and has largely kept her energy focused on promoting her debut album Invasion Of Privacy via Twitter and engaging with her supporters.

Back in 2012, rumors went around that the curvy eye candy was retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre’s daughter, although she’s since denied that. Do you follow an annoying friend or family member who continually fills your Instagram timeline with nonsense? Well, Instagram is rolling out a new feature for you to help with that issue.

Today, Instagram announced a new way to control what pops up on your timeline with their new mute in feed feature. Instead of unfollowing the annoying person you know will have the option of just hiding posts from them altogether. The new feature now allows you to make your feed even more personalized according to Instagram.

The person you have selected to be ignored will not know you have muted them. You can see their posts by visiting their profile and will still get notifications when you are tagged in a post. When you feel like taking them from off social timeout, you can just unmute them, and they will appear back on your timeline. The mute feature also will hide their instastories from you as well.

The mute feature is just another improvement Instagram has rolled out this year. This past March the company announced a semi-return to chronological timelines as well a new profile bio feature. It also announced a crackdown on comment section trolls as well. It really sounds like Facebook is trying to make Instagram great again and we are entirely here for it.

Now we got a long list of people we need to mute, and we know you do, too.

Drake finally picked up his smartphone and took to Instagram to address at least one portion of Pusha T’s scathing “The Story Of Adidon” diss track. With the Virginia rapper using a photo of the Canadian superstar in Blackface, Drizzy clarified the reasons behind the picture but nothing else.

“I know everyone is enjoying the circus but I want to clarify one image in question,” Drake wrote Wednesday (May 30) at 10:55PM.

He added, “The picture is from 2007, a time in my life when I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment.

Drizzy goes on to say that he and fellow actor Mazin Elsadig were attempting to highlight the battles they had as young Black actors trying to get into the game. Elsadig, 30, is an actor of Sudanese descent and worked with Drake as a cast member of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

What we’re wondering is of all the flame Push gave Drake, including claims of a kid with a porn star chief among them, it is beyond curious he chose this as a moment to speak out. Stay tuned as this will surely heat up over the next few days.

Instagram is looking to go long when it comes to the videos the users share according to a Wall Street Journal report.

The popular Facebook-owned photo-sharing social media platform is looking to find a new way to either innovate content creators or annoy its users by introducing hour-long videos. As of now, this is still just pure talk, but according to the WSJ it is being seriously considered. Instagram is planning on ditching its one-minute long videos for the hour-long posts. The company aims to bring exclusive long-form video content to the app and has engaged with producers and creators to make it happen.

Per the WSJ:

“The Facebook Inc.-owned photo and video sharing app is preparing to launch a new feature that will include long-form video, according to people familiar with the matter. The feature, which could allow videos of up to an hour in length, will focus on vertical video, or video that is taller than it is wide, one of the people said. Until now, Instagram hasn’t allowed users to post any videos longer than one minute.

The people said the plans are tentative and subject to change.

In recent weeks, Instagram has had conversations with content creators and publishers about producing long-form video for the platform, a person familiar with the matter said. The feature, if it launches, will do so within the Instagram app, another person said.”

With SnapChat still trying to find itself, Instagram has been enjoying some success since it introduced it’s Snap clone Insta-stories. The talk of hour-long videos clearly shows Instagram is looking to take on YouTube now. In all honesty, though we really just want chronological timelines again. While booty reigns supreme for most, there are some who prefer the curves up top just as much as the ones on the bottom. Unique, an active and rising Instagram thirst trap expert, has two ingredients that sit in front of her that will most certainly catch the eye.

Instagram just released a new update. NO, it’s not in regards to making your timeline chronological again, but it is something users have been asking for. Well sort of.

Instagram @mention sharing which will now allow users to re-share Instastories but there is a catch though, you have to be tagged in the post. This marks the first time Instagram has publicly announced they have been considering the feature. They did test a regram button, but this version of re-sharing in this limited capacity is as close to a regram button users will get for now.

Here is how the new feature will work as broken down Instagram on its blog:

“When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your Direct message thread with that person — now, you’ll see an option to add that content to your own story. Tap it to see that story as a sticker – you can scale, rotate and position it and add creative tools like text or stickers on to it as well. When your followers see your story, the original poster’s username will appear and will be tappable, so people can explore your friend’s profile as well. Only public accounts can have their stories shared.”

The latest update comes on the heels of reports of Instagram entertaining the idea of hour-long videos and adding a mute feature. This news though is more welcoming because it’s a feature that was honestly wanted. We still are waiting for the company to announce they plan on making our timelines great again by fixing the algorithm. We thought we were heading in that direction back in March when they announced “Newer Posts” will show in your feed more often.

The @mention sharing update is officially live on both iOS and Android versions of the Instagram app.
